Diakofti

Diakofti is a romantic fishing village. A paradise for the visitors and especially for the kids with shallow and turquise water and a white sandy beach. Up until the early 1990s Diakofti had no more than 10 houses.

From 1995 with the port, new houses have begun to build not only from Kytherians but also from tourists that come for some days and decide to live all their life here. Really, Diakofti is a magic place. A place for relax and dreams. The tourists enjoy fresh fishes, sea food, meze, ouzo, kytherian wine, kytherian tsipouro and organic vegetables in the tavernas of Diakofti. They also enjoy their coffee and their drinks in the coffee shops near the sea. There is also a mini market. The visitors can also visit Housti, an underground cave and can explore another cave from the water.

The airport of the island is located 10 km from Diakofti. The island is daily served by Aegean Air flights. The port of Diakofti is daily served with routes to/from Peloponnese.
A wonderful experience is a visit in Agia Moni, the monastery on the hills above Diakofti. From the back of the monastery you can see Diakofti and the Maleas cape.
